Please come to
City Hall October 28 at 6pm to show City Council that we want the 26 acres of land near Buffalo Park preserved as open space for future generations.
At the October 28
meeting Council will be providing the City Manager with direction on
whether to develop or preserve 17 City owned properties, including the
Schultz Y and 26 acres adjacent
to Buffalo Park.
Our presence at this meeting is
absolutely critical as it demonstrates our concern for preserving
the land and open spaces we all value as being essential to what we
love about Flagstaff. We need to pack the house!
City Council members are elected officials and we need to make sure they are making decisions supported by the public
(that’s us!) and not voting in favor of development to provide short term solutions with long term implications.
You can help us by: 1)
packing the house on October 28!! Power is in numbers here and we need to show Council and the Mayor that we care about the future of this land!!
2) spreading the word about this important issue (copy, paste, and forward the message above!)
3) writing City Council and the Mayor (council@flagstaff.gov or
jnabours@flagstaffaz.gov) asking them to preserve this land
4) signing this
petition asking Mayor and Council to preserve the land
